Badminton pro 2.0
UDAF successfully hosted the “BADmintonPro Tournament 2.0,” sponsored by Ovijat Group, on February 2, 2024, at Surja Sen Hall Badminton Ground, University of Dhaka. Creating a vibrant atmosphere of sportsmanship and camaraderie, this day-long sports event was arranged properly with the active participation of students, teachers, and alumni and the dedication of the executives of UDAF.
The three-segmented tournament showcased champions: Chairman Professor Dr. Dhiman Kumar Chowdhury Sir and Assistant Professor Md. Ahasan Uddin Sir, Team Rony-Sohel, and Team Glory from the teachers, boys, and girls segments, respectively. The runners-up included Associate Professor Dr. Md. Jamil Sharif Sir and Raihan Sobhan Sir from teachers, Team Parle Hara from boys, and Team Firecrackers from girls. Shoeb Akhter Rony earned the title “Man of the Tournament,” and Mohsana Afrin Muna received “Woman of the Tournament.” from 100 participants, 49 teams.
The BADmintonPro Tournament 2.0 served as a testament, united the department with enthusiasm, promoted teamwork, and shared appreciation for the sporting spirit within our academic community. The collaborative effort between segments and memorable, skillful performances underscored the positive impact of such events.
