Cleanup Project
On August 8th, the students of the Department of Accounting & Information Systems of University of Dhaka came together for a meaningful initiative, the “Cleanup Project.” With 80 enthusiastic participants divided into six teams, the event aimed to promote a cleaner and better environment both on campus and in the surrounding area.
Guided by the inspiring leadership of Prof. Amirus Salat Sir and Associate Prof. Al Amin Sir, the students were filled with energy and enthusiasm, eager to make a meaningful impact in their community. Embracing the values of accountability and excellence, they worked together on various tasks, each contributing to a greater cause. Four groups set out to clean the footpaths from Shahbag to Nilkhet and from Fuller Road to Ramna Park, ensuring the areas were litter-free and looking their best. Another team showcased their creativity by transforming the FBS premises with vibrant graffiti, adding a bold, artistic touch to the space. Additionally, a dedicated traffic management team worked to ensure smooth operations at major intersections, including Shahbag, Kataban, Nilkhet, and Bata signals. Though these efforts may have seemed small, they made a significant contribution to the beautification and improvement of the surrounding community, leaving a lasting impact.
