University of Dhaka Accounting Forum (UDAF) proudly hosted ‘’Mindlogue,’ a public speaking competition exclusively for the 28th batch of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems (A&IS). Spanning from August 13, 2023, to September 25, 2023, Mindlogue was a remarkable opportunity for students to showcase their oratory skills and influence through powerful speeches. It was more than a competition and was a platform for students to sharpen their minds, craft compelling narratives, and refine their articulation skills. Participants had the opportunity to enhance their public speaking abilities, step out of their comfort zones, and build confidence. Moreover, the event fostered a sense of community and networking among like-minded peers who share a passion for effective communication.
The competition began on August 13, 2023, with the distribution of topics to the participants via email. The First Round took place on August 16, 2023, at the Faculty of Business Studies, where participants delivered their prepared speeches. The students who cleared the first round competed in the Second Round on September 14, 2023, at the MBA Building, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka. Among them, 12 finalists were selected to vie for the winning trophy in the Grand Finale on September 26, 2023, at 3 PM in Room No. 5002, MBA Building, Faculty of Business Studies. The finalists presented their speeches before a distinguished panel of judges, including Professor Amirus Salat and Raihan Sobhan from the Department of Accounting and Information Systems, University of Dhaka.
The event concluded with the announcement of the winners and handing over the crests to them, along with the valuable speeches of the judges. Uchai Mong Marma, Mahmudul Hasan, and Rubaiya Shams Tuhfa achieved the titles of Champion, 1st Runner-up, and 2nd Runner-up, respectively, manifesting their unparalleled caliber and passion. Their exceptional performances not only earned them recognition but also inspired their peers.
Mindlogue successfully brought together the 28th batch of A&IS, DU, under the banner of UDAF. This event was a testament to the power of words and the art of public speaking. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners and our appreciation to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement. Through events like ‘Mindlogue,’ UDAF continues to promote excellence, leadership, and camaraderie within the academic community.
