“<\/span>Prodigies 6.0: Crafting Solutions, Forging Leaders<\/b>,” sponsored by <\/span>MoveOn Technologies<\/b> Ltd. <\/b>and covered by <\/span>The Business Standard<\/b>, is an intra-batch business case competition organized by UDAF exclusive to the freshmen of the 29th batch of Accounting & Information Systems of the University of Dhaka from February 4, 2024, to March 7, 2024. This signature event of UDAF commenced its journey in 2017, aiming to cultivate participants’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills through real-world business challenges and expert mentoring.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Event Phases:<\/u><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Both online and offline registration started on February 4, 2024, and continued until February 8, 2024. An open-to-all online workshop for case solving was held on February 7, 2024. The first round was an online business case assessment with a 72-hour deadline, and ten teams were selected for the next round. The second round was about the presentation of the earlier assessment to our respected judge’s on February 24, 2024, at FBS Academic Building. The last and final round required the five finalist teams to submit their solution to a fresh case electronically within 72 hours. Considering their amateurishness, UDAF gave them access to five experienced mentors to discuss their case and its solution. Following that, the teams delivered an offline presentation of their solution to our esteemed judge’s panel consisting of <\/span>three members: Raihan Sobhan (Lecturer, A&IS, University of Dhaka), Mahnoor Tabassum (Large Accounts Manager, Grameenphone Ltd.) and Minhajur Rahman Joy (Territory Officer, British American Tobacco Bangladesh) on March 7, 2024, at Prof. Habibullah Conference Hall.<\/span><\/p>

Event’s Objectives:<\/u><\/b><\/p>

  • To unleash the potential of participants and showcase their hidden talents and brainstorming capabilities\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  • To enhance analytical abilities and foster analytical skills in tackling real-world business cases.<\/span><\/li>
  • To overcome challenges and demonstrate adeptness in cracking codes.<\/span><\/li>
  • To foster teamwork for collaboration led to breakthrough solutions, emphasizing the importance of teamwork.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    The event culminated in a successful grand finale, featuring outstanding performances from participants. The dedication of the judge panel, the presence of honorable faculties, and support from MoveOn Technologies Ltd. contributed to the event’s success. The Champion team, “Team Meatbox,” along with the 1st Runner-up, “Team MP3,” and 2nd Runner-up, “Team Pitch Perfect,” were awarded cash prizes and the opportunity for direct placement in the Focused Group Discussion Round of UDAF Executive Recruitment 2024. <\/span><\/p>
